4 Tips For Leading Your Customers To A Sale
0 CommentsFiled Under: How To
When we market, the goal is to get action and by action I mean we want our marketing to result in a sale. The sale is the end result of every marketing process. Every business or marketer wants to know the answer to the question: How can we make a customer buy?
So let us see how !
1. Obtaining a sale is a process. It is a psychological process. There are, and have been in the past, very good products on the market that have not been sold well. Even a good product needs a good marketing strategy. Now do some role-playing with these following scenarios. Put your products up front, and imagine yourself in the role as an indifferent Vendor. Act as if You are a Marketer who is paid by the hour, regardless of the sales that you generate. Set your goal for the day and see if you achieve it.
In the next situation, act as the aggressive Marketer on commission, take your worst product, possibly a product that you consider as Unsaleable product , and sell it with all your selling enthusiasm. Evaluate whether you could make a customer buy more of the Unsaleable product by the aggressive Marketer, or whether you sold more as the indifferent Marketer.
What I have demonstrated here is that selling is not entirely about your product. You need to realise that your product wont sell on its own, regardless of how good it is. Before you can make a customer buy, you have to sell yourself first. You need to build the trust of your customer from the very first moment, and if you do not, you are going to have trouble selling your product.
2. Impulsive buying is not the method that all buyers use to purchase items. A customer looking at your product may be an impulsive buyer, but most buyers like to feel they can trust the seller. When writing your sales letter you need to keep this in mind and have a marketing plan for futher contact. Customers do not like to feel forced to make a purchase.
3. Attracting customers to your product or service is one thing, but you need to keep them interested in what you are offering. The wording of your sales page is very important if you want to make a customer buy. Customers know when they are getting ‘the hard sell’, so it is your job to keep them interested, convince them that purchasing your product is going to benefit them, and then close the deal.
4. Just calling a customer to action is not enough. The customer needs to be guided to the sale, be made aware of the fact that there will be a sale at the end, but they need to know that they will benefit from the purchase. Lead them to the ultimate decision – the sale! That is what a Marketer should do – Make the customer buy.
Now make sure you take note of those techniques above if you want to have more customer interesting in your products or services.
